Contests and grants




Believe it or not chat bot masters do have contests in which they compete against each other for fun and sometimes money. You can help support this growing field of AI by voting for your favorite chatbots here. For AI researchers there are links below contests called grants for sources of possible funding.

  • AWS Chatbot Challenge-Link is gone.
  • Hackathons, Programming Challenges, And Coding CompetitionsNew sites? This look more like regular programm you can check it out anyway
  • Bragging Rights (Gone)
  • The Chatterbox Challenge (archived site) had been going on a long time they started a year before i created this website for the first time. They started it in 2001 They stopped in 2015.
  • Diva bot This contest was open to pandora bots only and you need to pay a registration fee it is no longer being held.
  • Google Code Jam 2018-Link is gone
  • kaggle They have added some AI competitions
  • The Loebner Prize The Loebner Prize was a known and well funded contest.The Loebner Prize is reported as defunct as of 2020.
  • Power TAC No mention of any AI based games is mentioned.
  • Robo Chat Challenge is another chat bot contest that is not restrictive it no longer holds contests.
  • Winograd Schema Challenge Has not been updated for a long time.
  • ML Contests Has a list of "machine learning, data science and robotics competitions"
  • Generative AI Gen AI on RTX PCs Developer Contest Enter to win a GeForce RTX 4090 GPU, a GTC conference in-person pass, and more.

  • Artificial Life Inc.-Link is gone
  • Breakout Labs Is only open to creative biosciences entrepreneurs
  • EPSRC This is uk based funding for various sciences including AI.
  • The Intelligence Advanced Research Projects Activity (IARPA) ""invests in high-risk, high-payoff research programs to tackle some of the most difficult challenges of the agencies and disciplines in the Intelligence Community (IC).""
  • Indiegogo The World's Crowdfunding Engine As the largest global fundraising site, we help individuals, businesses, and non-profits raise money online.
  • Kickstarter This is a fairly well known site for raising funding for projects of all sorts.
  • Open Philanthropy Project They provide funding for various projects.
  • Paul G. Allen Family FoundationThey invest in communities across the Pacific Northwest to enhance the human experience of arts and culture, center under-served populations, mobilize young people to make impact, and support a global portfolio of nonprofit partners working across science and technology solutions for our environment.
  • SBA This usa government agency that helps find financing for small business.
  • SBIR.STTR This is part of the Small Businesss Administration and you can find funding for start ups here.
